The process
With the coronavirus interrupting normal school life, parents have had first-hand access to online teaching and have been able to see how it can work. One to one teaching online is very effective and, with the technology as it is, can give a truly immersive experience for the tutee. Of course, there is the added advantage of cutting transport costs. It also means that your child can have lessons wherever they are and I can teach wherever I am, so long as there is a decent internet connection.
Process and Availability
I can use a range of meeting platforms, including Zoom, Whatsapp or Skype to talk to and see students and can use a range of teaching tools so that your child and I can see the same material and work on it together.
In order to help your child, I would ask you to send through a range of material to show where they are in their progress. I would have a free first lesson with your child to see how we get on as it is important we both feel we can work together. After that we will draw up a plan tailored to your child's individual needs. Lesson times need to be booked in advance (it is often best to have them at a consistent time each week) and there is a 24 hour cancellation charge if you decide to cancel.
Prices and Payment
These are available when you get in touch. Given my experience, my rates are high, however I am open to negotiation if there are certain circumstances that you think I should know about. Payment will be in advance.

A Caveat
I really cannot guarantee that your child will get into the school you would like them to enter, or that they will achieve the grades you would like. Entry into senior school is not an exact science and depends on so many factors. I can and will keep you informed about his or her academic progress, give you any advice I can, and let you know what I feel their prospects are.
"Full credit to you for instilling the independent learning. He has changed massively over the last couple of years and is now so self-motivated."
